ERIE, PA – Trailing by as many as 12 in the fourth quarter, the Los Angeles D-Fenders completed a come-from-behind 117-112 victory over the Erie Bayhawks on Thursday night. Brandon Costner, who totaled a game-high 35 points, seven rebounds and three steals, drilled a go-ahead three-pointer with 27.7 seconds remaining to give the D-Fenders (9-6) the lead for the first time since the opening quarter.

Elijah Millsap added 27 points, five rebounds and two steals, Malcolm Thomas tallied 19 points (6-9 FG), nine rebounds and four blocks off the bench, and Zach Andrews chipped in 16 points (7-9 FG) and 11 rebounds (3rd double-double of the season) in the D-Fenders first franchise win against the Bayhawks. Additionally, Courtney Fortson handed out a game-high nine assists to go with 8 points. Millsap, Andrews and Fortson each played in their first Development League game together since returning from NBA training camp while Thomas, who also participated in NBA training camp, was added yesterday.

The Bayhawks (5-9) finished with six players in double-digit scoring, led by Chris Daniels (32 points, 9 rebounds), and Kyle Spain (18 points, 7-10 FG). Tirrell Baines added 14 points, and Devin Green, B.J. Jenkins and D.J. Kennedy chipped in 10 apiece to round out Erie’s scoring.

Los Angeles concludes its four-game road trip on December 30 when they take on Fort Wayne at 7 p.m. EST. The game can be seen on NBA Futurecast.
