BOISE, ID – The Los Angeles D-Fenders entered their game against the Idaho Stampede with a 12-1 record when leading or tied through three quarters of play. However, the D-Fenders stumbled 113-107 after the Stampede shot a 68 percent clip in the fourth quarter Friday night at the Qwest Arena.

Los Angeles (15-7) built a lead after a strong second and third quarter where they outscored Idaho by 18 points. The D-Fenders saw a well-balanced scoring attack, six players scoring in double-figures. The game’s high-scorer, Courtney Fortson, dropped in 21 points, five rebounds along with seven assists for his squad. Elijah Millsap tallied 18 points, four rebounds and four assists, and Brandon Costner contributed 18 points and five rebounds to aid the D-Fenders’ efforts. The lone double-double was posted by Zach Andrews (14 points, 10 rebounds), his fifth on the year, while Gerald Green (11 points) rounded out the D-Fenders double-digit scorers.

Tony Bobbitt came up big in Boise for the Stampede (8-11) down the stretch after he finished with 11 fourth quarter points. Bobbitt equaled Fortson’s game-high 21 points and four rebounds, and was assisted in the scoring department by Terrico White’s 17-point performance off the bench. Armon Johnson chipped in 14 points, and Jordan Hamilton, Seth Tarver as well as Paul Carter all added 12 points in the win.

The D-Fenders, whose seven-game win streak was snapped tonight, get a rematch with the Stampede tomorrow at 7 p.m. MST. As always, the game is available for viewing on NBA Futurecast.
