IOWA ENERGY RE-SIGN CARTIER MARTIN
Former Energy Star Has Played 103 Games in NBA

DES MOINES, IA. Mar. 4, 2012 – The 2011 NBA D-League Champion Iowa Energy have re-signed guard/forward Cartier Martin. Martin played for the Energy in 52 games from 2008 to 2010, averaging 18.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting 42.5% from 3-point land.

Martin received “Call-Ups” to the NBA both seasons with the Energy. In 2009, he was signed by the Charlotte Bobcats, and appeared in 33 games. The following season, Martin returned to the Energy and was later signed by the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards. The 6’7” swing man spent the conclusion of the 2009-2010 season with the Wizards, and also made their team in the 2010-11 season.

During his 103 game NBA career, Martin averaged 4.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He most recently played in China, where he averaged 26.3 points 4.7 rebounds per game.
