NEW YORK, Nov. 15, 2007 – The Chicago Bulls have assigned rookie guard JamesOn Curry to their NBA Development League affiliate, the Iowa Energy. Curry was drafted in the second round (51st overall) of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. Curry appeared in all seven of Chicago’s 2007-08 preseason games averaging 4.0 points, 2.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game.
Curry, 21, is the fifth NBA player assigned to a D-League team this season and the first assignment to the Energy in their inaugural season.
Curry finished his college career at Oklahoma State averaging 13.5 points, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 rebounds in 101 games played (83 starts) and was selected Third Team All-Big 12, as well as Second Team All-District 12 by the NABC during his junior season.
The 6-3, 190 pound guard will join the Energy in Iowa on Friday, November 16.
