Tolliver, a 6-9 forward played four seasons at Creighton University, appeared in 124 career games and averaged 8.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.1 blocks and 21.5 minutes while shooting 46.1 percent from the field, 43.5 percent from three-point range and 56.4 percent from the foul line. He was not drafted by the NBA out of college in 2007 but signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in October. He was released and signed with the Iowa Energy in November. After some time overseas Tolliver signed as a free agent with the San Antonio Spurs. He appeared in 19 games with the Spurs and averaged 2.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 10.9 minutes while shooting 22.0 percent from three-point range. Tolliver returned to the Iowa Energy in January 2009 and appeared in 11 games for the Iowa Energy and averaged 12.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.45 blocks, 1.36 steals and 35.2 minutes while shooting 32.7 percent from three-point range.
