BOISE, ID, August 4, 2010 — The Idaho Stampede will open their 2010-11 season in the NBA Development League on Saturday, November 20 at 7:00 p.m. when they host the New Mexico Thunderbirds at Qwest Arena in Downtown Boise.
The Idaho – New Mexico contest is the first of 50 regular season games for the Stampede, 24 of which will take place at Qwest Arena.
“The schedule this season will provide fans the ultimate fan experience from the NBA caliber play to the national halftime entertainment and local acts,” said Stampede President and General Manager, Steve Brandes. “With 19 weekend dates and just one conflicting date with Boise State University men’s basketball, fans are sure to have a great time out at all Stampede games.”
The Stampede will also take part in the 2011 NBA D-League Showcase that will take place from Jan. 10-13 in South Padre Island, Texas. The Seventh Annual Showcase features all 16 D-League teams who will play two games each in front of scouts and executives from NBA teams.
Also highlighting the 2010-11 NBA D-League Schedule is the All-Star Game and Dream Factory which is part of NBA Jam Session presented by adidas at NBA All-Star 2011 in Los Angeles, CA.
