Head Coach announces resignation

BOISE, IDAHO (July 3, 2006) – Joe Wolf announced today that he is resigning as head basketball coach of the franchise, effective today.

“We wish Joe the best in his career”, said Stampede Managing Investor Bill Ilett. “Hopefully his future efforts, along with the experience he gained at the Idaho Stampede, will help him fulfill his dream of coaching in the NBA. We are very proud of the fact that we currently have two former Stampede coaches and seven players now in the NBA.”

Wolf was the fifth head coach in the Stampede franchise and was the head coach for two seasons from 2004-2006. He compiled a 48-48 regular season record and also went 1-2 in the post-season last year. He coached NBA players Britton Johnsen (Pacers), Kaniel Dickens (Nets, Clippers), Awvee Storey (Wizards), Randy Livingston (Bulls) and Josh Davis (Bucks, Rockets, Suns).
