Colorado 97, Idaho 94
BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 21 -- In a preview of an exciting opening weekend match up, the Idaho Stampede fell short of a victory in preseason NBA Development League action 97-94 to the Colorado 14ers. Bakari Hendrix paced the scoring for Colorado with game-high 19 points, and Elton Brown added a game-high 14 rebounds.
The contest was decided with less than a minute remaining on the clock. Idaho’s Jermaine Blackburn hit a 3-pointer to cut Colorado’s lead to 95-94 with 1:15 remaining, but the Stampede were unable to score the remainder of the game.
The back-and forth contest featured ten lead changes.
Idaho had five players in double-figures, led by Jeff Graves with 13 points and nine rebounds. Lance Allred added 12 points off the bench, with Blackburn, Eddie Robinson and Peter Ramos scoring 11 points each.
The Idaho Stampede will tip off their inaugural season in the NBA Development League as the affiliate of the Utah Jazz and Seattle SuperSonics when they face the Colorado 14ers in back-to back games on Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25. Both games tip off at 7 p.m.
