BOISE, Idaho, October 17, 2012 – The NBA Development League announced the 2012 NBA D-League draft will start at 5 p.m. (MST) on Friday, November 2, with the Idaho Stampede receiving the third overall selection in the eight-round draft.
Each of the league’s 16 teams will be given one pick in each of the eight rounds. No trades will be permitted during the draft and only players signed to an NBA Development League Standard Player Contract are eligible to be selected. The draft order comes in a new format implemented this season: order is determined based on teams that did not qualify for the previous season’s playoffs, in reverse order of record, followed by those teams that did not qualify for the previous season’s playoffs, also in reverse order of record.
Idaho will make its selections from the “War Room” at Legends Pub and Grill, 7609 W. Overland Road, Suite #100, Boise, Idaho 83709, located at the cinema complex at the intersection of Cole Road and Overland Road.
The team will host a draft party beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Legends, with drink and food specials available. Season ticket holders and fans are encouraged to meet Stampede coaches, staff, owners and support staff at Legends for the draft.
