LEGENDS OVERCOME 24-POINT DEFICIT TO MOVE TO 3-0

FRISCO, Texas -- The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), fell victim to the same situation they forced on Fort Wayne twice last weekend—a heavy early deficit. The team went down by as many as 24 in the first half before sparking a magnificent comeback to finish 111-106.

Grant Jerrett posted a game-high 13 points in the first quarter to push the 66ers up 39-19 over the Legends. Behind the hot shooting of Mickey McConnell (11points in the 2nd) and a combined effort on the defensive end, the Legends managed to cut the double-digit deficit down to a manageable seven points.

The team burst out of the locker room with a vengeance, outscoring Tulsa 29-16 in the third, but the battle wasn’t over. Down 80-86 Jerrett fired up the 66ers bench with a hard slam to begin the final quarter. The Legends fought to pull ahead but could never get comfortable. With each shot seemed to come an answer. Mario Little and Terrel Harris fought for the boards pulling down four each in the last 12 minutes, but the Legends bench rallied to hold on to their undefeated record going into their first road trip of the season 3-0.
