Des Moines, IA, Mar. 20, 2010 – Center Earl Barron scored 37 points and hauled in 17 rebounds as the Iowa Energy swept the weekend series over Sioux Falls with a 110-83 victory Saturday in Des Moines. The win pushes the Energy’s record to a D-League best 35-11 and leaves the team one win short of tying the all-time league record for wins in a season with four games remaining.

Barron helped fuel Iowa to an early 30-22 lead as he had 18 points and 9 rebounds in the opening frame. The Energy extended the lead to 54-41 at halftime.

Sioux Falls cut the lead to seven early in the 3rd quarter but the Energy stretched their lead back to 12 at the end of the quarter. The Energy opened the 4th quarter on an 11-2 run to put the game away for the home team.

Curtis Stinson added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for Iowa, who moved to 3 ˝ games ahead of Rio Grande Valley in the race for the #1 seed in the D-League playoffs.

Alexander Johnson led Sioux Falls with 30 points and 13 rebounds while David Bailey scored 20 points in the loss. The loss drops Sioux Falls to 27-18 on the season.
