Utah 105, Sioux Falls 94
SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 13, 2009 – Eddie Ard tallied 21 points in his first professional start to lead the Utah Flash to their fourth consecutive victory, a 105-94 triumph over the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Tuesday at the Sioux Falls Arena.
Ard contributed eight rebounds and Dontell Jefferson recorded 18 points for the Flash, who set a franchise record for most wins in a row. Utah never trailed and led by as many as 16.
“What a great game,” Flash coach Brad Jones said. “Ard and Diggs (16 points) provided so much energy for us tonight. That’s what this league is about…guys making the most of their chances when they come.”
Gary Forbes paced Sioux Falls with 21 points, while Glen McGowan and Frank Williams each posted 15. The Skyforce tied the game with just over four minutes remaining in the game before the Flash went on a 14-3 run to conclude the contest.
Utah will seek its first five-game winning streak ever when it visits the Dakota Wizards on Thursday, while Sioux Falls will look for a rebound performance when it hosts the Fort Wayne Mad Ants that same night.
