Bighorns Roll Past D-Fenders for Sixth Straight Win

RENO, NV, Jan. 13 -- Antonio Meeking registered 28 points and 10 rebounds as the Reno Bighorns coasted past the Los Angeles D-Fenders, 120-114, on Tuesday for their sixth straight triumph.

Meeking shot 11-of-17 from the field and even buried a 3-pointer for Reno, which has turned its season around after losing 11 consecutive games. Donte Greene added 18 points and Majic Dorsey contributed 16.

The Bighorns, who led by as many as 17 in the third quarter, shot 50 percent from the floor and forced the D-Fenders to commit 21 turnovers. Los Angeles, nonetheles, did manage to shot 53 percent from the field and dished out seven additional assists.

Brandon Heath paced the D-Fenders with 25 points, while Darren Cooper recorded 22 and Dwyane Mitchell handed out nine assists.

Reno will seek its seventh straight victory when it visits the Idaho Stampede on Thursday, while L.A. will look for a rebound performance when it visits the Albuquerque Thunderbirds on Friday.
