Sioux Falls 99, Tulsa 91
SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Dec. 13 -- Carl Elliott registered 23 points and the Sioux Falls Skyforce took charge in overtime against the visiting Tulsa 66ers as they secured a 99-91 victory on Saturday.
After the 66ers scored the first bucket in the extra session, the Skyforce racked up 10 unanswered points to cruise to the win and improve their record to 6-2.
Elliott, who also added five rebounds, four assists and three steals, converted on a pivotal go-ahead three-point play in overtime to put Sioux Falls up for good. Glen McGowan contributed with 15 points as five Skyforce players scored in double figures.
“Tulsa battled. They came in here and competed and I though our guys did the same down the stretch,” Skyforce head coach Nate Tibbetts said. “We had some guys step up when we needed to.”
Chris Richard led Tulsa, which after recording two straight victories has lost two consecutive contests, with 25 points, while Ronald Dupree chipped in with 21.
Tulsa takes on the Dakota Wizards on Sunday in Bismarck and Sioux Falls travels to Broomfield to play the Colorado 14ers on Dec. 17.
