AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 9, 2008 – NBA assignee Anthony Tolliver posted 27 points and 11 rebounds to help the Toros earn a 117-91 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce Tuesday afternoon at the Austin Convention Center.
"We had great ball movement today," Toros assistant coach Wendell Alexis said. "Today's game was a great example of defensive effort, teamwork and knocking down open shots."
Austin pulled away in a tightly contested game by outscoring Sioux Falls, 63-42 in the second half. Tolliver scored 18 of his points in the final two quarter. The Toros were aided by a 60-36 advantage in points in the paint and a 25-6 edge on fast break points.
Marcus Williams and NBA assignee Blake Ahearn recorded 20 and 17 points, respectively, for the Toros. Andre Brown and Tolliver each grabbed 11 rebounds.
Frank Williams led the Skyforce 20 points, while Gary Forbes added 18.
