Flash Rally for Win Over Arsenal

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 4 – Kevin Kruger scored seven of his 28 points in the last 1:43 to rally the Utah Flash to a 107-101 victory over the Anaheim Arsenal at the Anaheim Convention Center. The Flash (22-24) came from 15 points down in the second half for their fourth win in the last six games. Utah plays its final road game of the season Saturday at Bakersfield and finishes the season with a three-game homestand, hosting Idaho on Monday, Iowa on Friday and Los Angeles on April 12. Utah took its first advantage at 94-93 on Brian Hamilton's basket with 2:03 to play. The Flash stretched the lead to six in the final minutes only to see Anaheim hit a pair of three-pointers in the last 24 seconds to keep it a one-possession game. Utah put away the game when Gabe Pruitt picked Will Blalock’s pocket and dished to Brian Jackson for a breakaway jam with nine seconds left. Kruger, who made 8-of-15 shots including four 3-pointers, has scored 71 points in the Flash’s last two games. Pruitt added 19 points and James Lang recorded his fifth double-double with 15 and 12 rebounds. Jackson scored 11 points and Hamilton 10. Mo Charlo led Anaheim (20-27) with a season-high 26 points, Terrance Crawford added 18 and Marcus Campbell 15 and 14 rebounds. |
