Energy Snap Slide With Win Over Mad Ants
Iowa 133, Fort Wayne 121
DES MOINES, Iowa, March 27 - Shannon Brown scored 34 points to lead five players in double figures as the Iowa Energy snapped a four-game losing streak with a 133-121 victory over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Brown, on assignment from the Chicago Bulls, also had 14 rebounds and eight assists as he fell just shy of the ninth triple-double in the D-League this season.
Adam Haluska scored 29 points and Cedric Simmons, also on assignment from the Bulls, added 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Earl Calloway scored 36 points and added six assists for the Mad Ants. Ron Howard added 25 points and five rebounds.
The Energy improved to 19-25 while the Mad Ants fell to 15-29. The teams meet Saturday in Fort Wayne.
