Wizards Knock Off Mad Ants for Third Straight Time

BISMARCK, N.D., March 25 - Carlos Powell scored 23 points and the Dakota Wizards came from behind yet again at the Bismarck Civic Center to beat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, 103-100, in their final home game of the regular season.

Rod Benson added 18 points, nine rebounds and four blocks and Kevin Lyde had 17, nine and four for the Mad Ants held a 54-48 lead at halftime. David Palmer also scored 17 points.

There were five lead changes in the fourth quarter.

"The atmosphere was electric in the arena tonight," Wizards coach Duane Ticknor said. "Our guys really buckled down on defense in the fourth quarter and took care of the ball as well."

The Wizards (26-18) have a 1 1/2-game lead in the Central Division and finish their schedule on the road.

Dahntay Jones scored 28 points, Ron Howard scored 24 and Larry Turner 22 with 14 rebounds for Fort Wayne (15-28).
