Efevberha Paces Arsenal Past Stampede

Anaheim 93, Idaho 86

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 21 -- Mike Efevberha came off the bench and scored 11 of 21 points in a decisive fourth quarter in his home debut as the Arsenal knocked off Western Division leader Idaho 93-96 on Friday.

The Arsenal extended its winning streak to three with the victory.

“We gave a good team effort in the second half, which we lacked in the first. We picked up the energy and everyone was playing defense,” Efevberha said.

The Stampede were led by Jason Ellis and Cory Violette who scored 17 and 15, respectively.

Idaho held the largest lead of the game with 19 points, and entered the fourth quarter with a 76-68 advantage. The Arsenal outscored the Stampede 25-10 in the fourth quarter.

“We gave a good team effort in the second half, which we lacked in the first. We picked up the energy and everyone was playing defense,” Efevberha said.

The Arsenal and Stampede meet again Saturday night at the Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center.
