Energy Down Skyforce, Clinch First Place in Central Division

DES MOINES, Dec. 27 -- Player of the game Mike Efevberha came off the bench for 22 points and seven rebounds Thursday night to lead the Energy to a 96-85 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

The win put the Energy (9-6) into first place in the Central Division and dropped the Dakota Wizards into second.

Dwayne Mitchell chipped in 19 points and seven assists for Iowa, and Jackie Manuel added 15 points.

Forward Michael Joiner led the Skyforce with 20 points and eight rebounds. David Bailey and Kasib Powell added 14 points apiece.

The loss drops the Skyforce to 4-8 on the year.

The Iowa Energy will play their next game on Saturday, Dec. 29 against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 7:30 p.m. CT at Wells Fargo Arena.
