Bakersfield 119, Anaheim 105
Bakersfield, Calif., Dec. 8 – The Bakersfield Jam returned home and defeated the Anaheim Arsenal, 119-105 on Saturday afternoon.
All five Jam starters scored in double figures, who accounted for 96 of Bakersfiled 119 points. Brandon Bowman led with 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Roderick Riley had 19 and 12. Andre Barrett contributed 16 points and 11 assists.
Kedrick Brown led the Arsenal with 23 points while Jamaal Thomas and Davin White had 20 and 17 points, respectively.
The win improved Bakersfield's record to 2-6, while the loss dropped Anaheim's slate to 2-6.
“It’s great to come home after such a difficult stretch on the road,” said Bakersfield coach Jim Harrick. “We came out strong and pushed the ball all night long. Hopefully this is something we can build on.”
Anaheim shot over 56 percent from the field but was outrebounded by Bakersfield, 51-30.
The two teams will square off again on Sunday, December 9, in Anaheim to complete their home-and-away series this weekend. The Jam’s next home game is Friday, December 14 against the Albuquerque Thunderbirds.
