Des Moines, Nov. 26 -- Dwayne Mitchell led the Iowa Energy to a come-from-behind victory in front of a D-League record crowd to beat the Albuquerque Thunderbirds, 101-98.
Mitchell led all Energy players with 27 points and 14 rebounds as the team outscored the Thunderbirds 37-29 in the fourth quarter to capture their third straight win this season.
"There are a million ways to win a game and we found a new one tonight," said Energy head coach Nick Nurse.
JamesOn Curry finished with 21 points, three rebounds and two assists.
Swingman Josh Gross led the Thunderbirds with 27 points and seven rebounds.
The Iowa Energy continue at home Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Wells Fargo Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Preceding Wednesday night's game will be a 5:30 p.m. contest between Perry High School and the Des Moines Christian boys team.
