Flame’s Hot Second Half Topples DazzleROANOKE, Va., Dec. 23 – Bracey Wright scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Florida Flame to a 98-78 victory in Roanoke. Florida held a slight one-point lead at the half, but opened the third quarter with a 21-5 run to pull away. "We played our best game of the season," Flame coach Jeff Malone said. "We hung around in the first half and went through them defensively in the third quarter." Wright led four Flame players in double figures, being joined by Hirum Fuller and Theron Smith, who both had double-doubles. Andre Barrett chipped in 16 points. The Dazzle were held to their lowest point total of the season. "We just never responded in the third quarter," Dazzle coach Kent Davison said. "We just turned it over up and down the floor." The Dazzle had four players reach double figures. Peter Ramos led the way with 14 points before being ejected in the fourth quarter after receiving his second technical foul. Andray Blatche and Will Bynum both had 12 points and Andreas Glyniadakis contributed 10 to the Dazzle cause. With the win, the Flame improve to 8-2 on the season, while The Dazzle fell to 4-8. |
