HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Jan. 12 -- For the second consecutive night, the Huntsville Flight doubled their opponent's fourth-quarter production, outscoring the Mobile Revelers 32-16 in the final period to win their fifth consecutive game 73-67 Saturday at the Von Braun Center.
Flight guard Chris Robinson led the fourth-quarter charge, scoring 10 of his 14 points.
The win marked the seventh in eight games for the Flight (12-13) while Mobile (16-9) dropped its second game in three tries.
"It's good feeling to come back like we did," said Huntsville head coach Bob Thornton. "Mobile is a tough team and we were on the second half of a back-to-back with two games in less than 24 hours. The guys hung in there, knocked down some key shots and stepped up the defense in the fourth quarter."
Mobile extended a six-point halftime lead to 14 points (49-35) with a 13-5 run in the third quarter. The Flight cut the lead to 10 points (51-41) by the end of the third quarter. Down 53-43 with 8:49 to play, the Flight went on a 21-3 run to take a 64-58 lead with 1:19 remaining. The Flight converted seven of eight free throws to seal the victory.
