HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Jan. 11 -- The Huntsville Flight held the Roanoke Dazzle to 10 fourth-quarter points en route to an 83-76 comeback victory Friday night at the Von Braun Center.
The win marked the sixth in seven games for the Flight (11-13) while Roanoke (9-16) dropped its fifth straight. With this win, the Flight snapped a five-game losing streak in the Von Braun Center and won their third home game of the season.
"It's good to finally be finishing some games lately," said Huntsville coach Bob Thornton. "We got great effort from a lot of guys. David (Crouse) and Mike (Wilks) were fantastic."
Roanoke closed the fourth quarter with a 7-0 run to take a 66-63 lead into the fourth quarter. Down by seven (76-69) with 5:50 to play, the Flight responded with a 14-0 run to close the game.
"I could not be more proud of my team," said Dazzle coach Kent Davidson. "We were limited with our players and it took a lucky three in the corner to beat us. We didn't score the last couple of minutes in the game and just lost it."
