McDonald's Players of the Month-December

FORT WAYNE, IN (January 16, 2013) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants and McDonald’s have partnered to recognize two outstanding high school basketball players in the Fort Wayne community. In December, McDonald’s and the Mad Ants selected Bryson Scott and Ariana Simmons as the McDonald’s High School Players of the Month. Both players will be recognized during the Mad Ants home game on Thursday, January 31st.

Bryson Scott, a senior guard at Northrop High School, is currently averaging 22 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, and 2.8 steals per game. Bryson was recently named tournament MVP of the 2012 SAC Holiday Tournament. Bryson is the all-time leading scorer at Northrop and has committed to play for the Purdue Boilermakers upon his high school graduation.

Ariana Simmons, a senior at Southside High School is a four year varsity player for the Lady Archers. She has scored over 1000 points in her high school career. She has been named All-SAC for the past two seasons and was an Indiana Junior All-Star Core member last year. Ariana is averaging 15.5 points per game to go along with 6.3 rebounds per game this season. She will be keeping her talent local as she has chosen to continue her basketball career at IPFW.

The Mad Ants return home to the Memorial Coliseum on Thursday, January 31st to face the Maine Red Claws at 7:00pm.
