First of three tryouts set for Erie’s Family First Sports Park

NBA D-League Erie BayHawks Host Free Agent Tryouts

ERIE — The NBA Development League Erie BayHawks will host the first in a series of three free agent tryouts in Erie, Saturday October 4 and Sunday October 5, at the Family First Sports Park, 8155 Oliver Road. ALL MEDIA ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.

Check in and registration is set for Saturday at 10 AM with tryout sessions beginning promptly at 11 AM and running through 6 PM. The Sunday session will run 8 AM to 12 PM.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for us on many levels,” said John Treloar, BayHawks’ Head Coach. “These tryouts allow us to look for the best unsigned and undiscovered talent to help build our roster.”

Tryout applicants must register by submitting the official registration, disclosure and release forms in advance or in person, Saturday at Family First Sports Park. The non-refundable, $150 registration fee must be paid in cash, money order or certified/cashiers check. No credit cards or personal checks will be accepted.

The BayHawks will also host free agent tryouts in:

  • Cleveland/Akron, October 11-12 at James A. Rhodes Arena on the campus of the University of Akron.
    Saturday October 11- Registration- 6:30 to 7:30 PM tryouts- 7:30 to 10:30PM. Sunday October 12- tryouts in two sessions; 9 am to noon and 2pm to 5pm.

  • Philadelphia, October 18-19. Site, details and times TBD.
