Larranaga to Assist Ukrainian National Team

Erie BayHawks head coach Jay Larranaga is heading to Kiev, Ukraine for two months to serve as an assistant coach of the Ukrainian senior menís national team under legendary head coach Mike Fratello. Larranaga will return to Erie in September to coach his third year with the BayHawks.

Over the next two months the Ukrainian team will be competing in Group C of the qualifying round of the 2013 European Championships. Group C includes the national teams of Croatia, Austria, Cyprus, Hungary and Ukraine. The top two teams from the group will advance to next yearís European Championships to be played in Slovenia.
