Social media has taken on a life of it’s own over the past few years and the BayHawks are continuing to do their best to stay ahead of the trend. As the popularity of Facebook and Twitter grow, the BayHawks are making improvements to their sites as a way to better communicate with their fans.
Just this past week, the team has added new tabs to its Facebook page. These tabs will allow fans to gather information about the team with one easy click. New pages were dedicated to staff members as well as ticketing options.
The team will continue to enhance social media tools as the season grows closer. “Through social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter, we can give fans a chance to have a personal impact on the operation” says V.P. of Business Operations, Brett Folga. The BayHawks hope to increase fan interaction and build excitement for the upcoming season by hosting different trivia and contests in the next few months. Plans are also in place that will give fans an opportunity to impact a game like never before.
“Communicating with our fans is important and we will continue to give our best efforts to make sure BayHawks fans are receiving information as soon as it’s available” adds Folga.
The team also plans on adding an interactive Live Chat on the official website that will allow fans to easily ask questions to BayHawks ticketing staff.
