BayHawks Make Front Office Moves

Two employees promoted and three new staff members added

Erie, Pennsylvania, Friday, July 8, 2011 – The Erie BayHawks have acquired three new full time staff members and promoted two others, including Brett Folga being named the team’s Vice President of Business Operations and Sean Peebles being promoted to Senior Account Executive.

Additions to the staff include Jason Vaughan, Manager, Promotions and Client Services; Kay Lampe, Account Executive; and Jared Eller, Account Executive.

Folga (VP, Business Operations) was originally hired as an Account Executive when the franchise launched in 2008. Soon after, he took on the role as the team’s Group Sales Manager before being promoted to the Director of Ticket Sales in 2009, and then shifted roles to the team’s Director of Sales in 2010. In his new role, Folga will be responsible for overseeing all of the team’s sales and marketing efforts and managing all game night operations.

Folga is an Erie native and a graduate of Collegiate Academy. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing at Penn State-Behrend and a Masters in Sports Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

Sean Peebles (Senior Account Executive), a graduate of Edinboro University, originally joined the BayHawks in 2009 as an Account Executive before being promoted to Group Sales Manager in 2010. This past season he served as the team’s Manager of Game Night Operations. In his new role, Peebles will work with several of the organization’s corporate partners and season ticket and group accounts, as well as continue to serve as the team’s public address announcer on game nights.

Jason Vaughan (Manager, Promotions and Client Services) is making the shift to basketball after working six years in Minor League Baseball where he most recently served as the Director of Special Events and Client Services with the Erie SeaWolves. He’s also spent time with the Akron Aeros and Lake Erie Crushers. Vaughan earned a degree in Sport Administration from Kent State University.

Vaughan’s duties with the BayHawks include overseeing all of the team’s promotional efforts, community and public relations programs, and managing the activation of the organization’s corporate partnerships.

Kay Lampe (Account Executive), a native of Erie, earned a degree in Communication Arts and Sciences from Penn State and has spent the last four years working for area non-profits.

Jared Eller (Account Executive) also an Erie native, is returning to town after spending several years in Florida that included stints with the Orlando Magic (NBA), Orlando Miracle (WNBA) and six years in sports marketing for the University of Central Florida. He also earned a degree in Business Administration from UCF.

Lampe and Eller will each work with many of the team’s corporate, season ticket and group accounts.
