BayHawks Add Staff

The Erie BayHawks have expanded their front office and basketball operations staffs for the 2013-14 season. For the first time in team history, the BayHawks will have two assistant coaches on the sidelines. Jeff Javorek joins Ben McDonald as an assistant to head coach Gene Cross.

Javorek has risen through the basketball operations ranks with the BayHawks. After initially joining the staff as an intern for the 2011-12 season, he was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations for the 2012-13 campaign.

Replacing Javorek as the Director of Basketball Operations is former intern Matt Lilly. In his new role, Lilly will be responsible for assisting the coaching staff with game plan execution and other assorted scouting and practice needs. Also joining the staff as a Basketball Operations Assistant is Reggie King, a former collegiate basketball player at Winthrop University.

Staff changes were also made in the BayHawks front office. The team welcomed three new staff members and promoted three others. New to the club this season are Director of Entertainment, Maggie Neil and Account Executives, Conor McGartland and Chris Welch.

Dave McLean has been promoted from Account Executive to Vice President of Ticket Sales, Jared Eller from Account Executive to Director of Sales and Jason Vaughan from Promotions and Client Services Manager to Director of Marketing and Communications. All three staff members will be entering their third season with the team.

The BayHawks open the season on November 22 at the newly renovated Erie Insurance Arena against division rival Canton Charge. Season tickets and mini plans are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 814-790-5600.
