BayHawks Add Eight Via Draft

The Erie BayHawks used the seventh and ninth overall picks in the 2001 NBA Development League Draft to select guard Cory Higgins and center Chris Daniels on Thursday night.

“We’re very happy we were able to get Higgins and Daniels,” said BayHawks head coach Jay Larranaga. “We had them both ranked very high on our board and are excited about what we think they can bring to the team. I can’t wait to get (training camp) started next week.”

The Los Angeles D-Fenders selected former NBA first round pick Jamaal Tinsley from Iowa State with the first overall pick.
