Delaware 87ers Acquire Kyrylo Fesenko Off Waivers

NEWARK, DE.—January 10, 2014— The Delaware 87ers have acquired center Kyrylo Fesenko off of waivers.

Fesenko (7-1, 280) was originally selected with the 38th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, who traded his rights on draft night to the Utah Jazz.

During the 2007-08 and 2008-09 NBA D-League season, Fesenko played with the Utah Flash, during which time he appeared in 51 games and averaged 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 26 minutes per game.

Most recently, Fesenko played for BC Donetsk in the Ukrainian Superleague where in 24 games he averaged nine points, six rebounds and two blocks in 18 minutes per game.

In a related transaction, the 87ers have waived Reeves Nelson.

The 87ers will play their next home game at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, DE on Monday, January 13 at 7 p.m. against the Erie BayHawks. Home and away games can be viewed via YouTube on the NBADL channel. All home games can be heard on 91.3 WVUD.
