MIKE BOSWELL
Mike Boswell came to the Lowgators in November of 2002, bringing with him success and experience in both major league and minor league sports. Having grown up an hour outside of Pittsburgh in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Mike was thrilled to start his career with the team he rooted on as a child – the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Since then, Mike has worked in Major League Baseball either as a sales department manager or assistant manager for the Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants. Baseball hasn’t been his only sport, having worked in hockey for the Denver Grizzlies of the IHL and the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL. Mike has had sales experience in college sports as well, selling season tickets for Duquesne University Basketball and University of Pittsburgh Football.
Mike has served as a ‘big’ with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Columbus, OH, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Trident Area in Charleston.
LAWANA BRYANT
Lawana L. Bryant has been the Business Manager for the North Charleston Lowgators since its inaugural season in 2001. She is responsible for managing the team’s budget and is involved in all aspects of the team’s operations. She has specific responsibilities in finance, human resources, sales and marketing, basketball operations, and game operations. In addition, Bryant was the lead person for the design and construction of the team’s office space at the North Charleston Coliseum, where the Lowgators play.
Bryant’s previous career experience is as diverse as her current responsibilities. After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1988, she worked for E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company as an Information Systems Analyst in Wilmington, Delaware and Charlotte, North Carolina. Desiring a career change, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1998. She relocated to Charlotte and worked as a Tax Consultant for KPMG LLP, specializing in implementing tax strategies for financial services, manufacturing and retail corporations. Prior to accepting her current position, Bryant worked for Berry, Quackenbush & Stuart in Columbia, South Carolina as an Attorney.
A native of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Bryant is single and enjoys reading novels and traveling.
ADAM EPSTEIN
Adam Epstein is entering his second season as the Lowgators media relations coordinator and broadcaster. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he graduated from Ohio University in 2000, where he did play-by-play for baseball and women's basketball. Epstein's professional career began in Idaho Falls, Idaho with the rookie league San Diego Padres. The following winter he became the voice of the Salina Rattlers of the International Basketball Association. The last two summers Epstein did the play-by-play for the Greensboro Bats, the single-A affiliate of the New York Yankees (now a Florida Marlins affiliate).
Adam enjoys working out and playing basketball and softball. He is single and lives in Charleston.
JENINE STEVENSON
Jenine Stevenson currently serves as Account Executive and Community Relations Coordinator for the North Charleston Lowgators. She joined the team in January of 2003, and has played an active role in building awareness of the NBDL in the Lowcountry.
Prior to joining the team, Stevenson completed her undergraduate coursework at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Statistics with a minor in Business Administration in December of 2002. While in school, she raised over $135,000 for the University of South Carolina Annual Fund Campaign since 1997, and received top honors two years in a row. Her sports experience includes three internships with NASCAR, Inc. in Daytona Beach, FL and Charlotte, NC, as well as on and off assistance at local tracks and facilities.
Born and raised in Greenville, NC, Stevenson is single and enjoys video games and music.
