Episode 1 is our starting point; for the team, for the league and for the 5 players brought to training camp, hoping to find a spot on the final roster.

Alex English's first taste of the head coaching world includes more than just tough roster decisions and difficult conversations with players. English has to keep his team focused on the game despite gym problems, equipment problems and attitude problems.

15 players arrive in North Charleston by plane and by car. A few have NBA experience, and at least one is still collecting NBA paychecks. But for most, this is another stop on a long tour of the minor leagues of Europe, Canada and the U.S. Some must say goodbye to wives, girlfriends and children while others travel alone.

North Charleston, South Carolina is unfamiliar territory for many of the wanna-be Lowgators. If they're lucky, they'll make new friends, find new places to shop and maybe even visit a new dentist in their new hometown. Otherwise, we'll see them in the airport booking a one-way ticket out of the league.
