Canton Charge forward Tyrell Biggs has been selected to participate in the 2012 NBA Development League All-Star Game in Orlando on February 25th, the league announced today. Biggs was chosen to the Eastern Conference squad by a combination of votes from the 16 D-League head coaches and online fan balloting via nba.com/dleague.
“We are excited about this achievement for Tyrell and happy that his continuous hard work has paid off with this honor,” said Charge Head Coach Alex Jensen. “We are proud to have him representing the city of Canton and both the Cavaliers and Charge organizations in Orlando on a national stage at the All-Star Game.”
The honor is Biggs’ first in his first year with Canton after being selected in the first round (15th overall) of the 2011 NBA D-League draft. He is currently averaging 16.3 points on .474 shooting to go along with 5.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.7 blocks in 31.6 minutes per game.
