Stampede Cut Up Charge

BOISE, Idaho, December 16, 2011 – Reggie Larry had 13 points, 16 rebounds (seven offensive) and two blocks and Will Foster came off the bench to total 13 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks as the Idaho Stampede (4-4) won its third game in a row, beating the Canton Charge 98-78 at CenturyLink Arena.

Six players scored in double-figures, with three-time NBA All Star Antoine Walker leading the way with 20 points and six rebounds. Eric Devendorf had several slashing plays to the hoop and totaled 16 points and five rebounds, while Cheyne Gadson was steady at the point with 12 points, four assists and just one turnover. The Oklahoma State product has just two turnovers in his last four games.

Idaho shot 49.3 percent and out-rebounded the Charge 53-38, while holding the road team to just 35.9 percent from the field. The Stampede dominated the paint, out-scoring the Charge 46-28 in points in the paint, while also totaling 19 second chance points to Canton’s seven.

TJ Campbell led the way for Canton (3-5), scoring 16 points, while Dante Milligan had seven points and 14 rebounds.

The Stampede play the Charge again tomorrow night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30, allowing time for fans to come after the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl college football game.
