Keith McLeod Joins the Utah Jazz Training Camp Roster
CANTON, OH - December 10, 2011 - The Canton Charge announced today that guard Keith McLeod has accepted an invitation to attend Utah Jazz training camp. In four games with the Charge this season, McLeod is second on the team in scoring with 13.3 points per game to pair with his team-leading 4.8 assists per contest.
“We are excited to see Keith’s hard work pay off and for him to be back in the NBA,” said Charge General Manager Wes Wilcox. “We know his professionalism and leadership will be an asset to the Jazz while he represents the city of Canton and the Charge proudly.”
McLeod, 32, has had a previous stint with Utah, spending time with the club from 2004-2006. He played in the NBA most recently during the 2006-07 season with the Indiana Pacers. He has career averages of 5.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 18.6 minutes in 200 games (88 starts). The veteran also has NBA Development League experience, spending the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons with the New Mexico Thunderbirds. The Jazz opened their training camp yesterday.
