Luke Harangody Named Co-Performer of the Week

Canton Charge forward Luke Harangody (6-8, 245, Notre Dame) has been named the NBA Development League Co-Performer of the Week along with Erie guard Donald Sloan for games played from March 5-11, the league announced today. Harangody averaged 24.3 points on .560 shooting with 14.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks in 38.3 minutes per contest. The Charge were 3-0 in games played last week and have won 12 of their last 16 overall.

Harangody had a double-double with 24 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in 42 minutes during a 106-101 road victory at Springfield on March 8th. He had another double-double two nights later as he poured in a game-high 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting with a season-high 18 rebounds in 36 minutes during an 89-88 win over Maine on March 10th. He had a season-high 30 points on 11-of-17 shooting with nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 37 minutes in a 125-100 victory over Reno on March 12th. Harangody is the first player assigned from an NBA team to earn the award this season and second player from the Charge, as Manny Harris previously has earned the honor twice this year. He was assigned to the Charge by the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 6th.

In six games (six starts) with Canton this season, Harangody is averaging 18.8 points on .494 shooting with 11.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 blocks in 36.5 minutes per game. He has posted four double-doubles in the six games he has played this season and Canton is 5-1 in games which Harangody has been in the lineup.
