Charge Announce 2012-13 Training Camp Roster

The Canton Charge announced their 2012-13 training camp roster today. The group consists of 16 players with various collegiate and professional backgrounds acquired through the D-League Draft, trades, open tryouts, the affiliate player rule or as returning players.

Kevin Anderson, Michael Eric and Kevin Jones were all in NBA training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season and added to the Charge roster via the affiliate rule. The rule allows three players from your NBA parent clubís training camp roster to be protected from having to enter the draft upon clearing NBA waivers and join the affiliate automatically.

Kyle Gibson is the lone returning player in training camp with the Charge. Gibson played in 44 games (28 starts) with Canton last season, averaging 9.9 points on .403 shooting with 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 23.9 minutes per game. He played an instrumental role in the teamís deep postseason run, starting all six playoff games and averaging 18.8 points on .486 shooting with 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 33.7 minutes per game.

Jonathan Moore and Titus Robinson were both added through attending the teamís open tryouts among over 60 players with various different basketball backgrounds that came out to compete. Six players from Cantonís 2012 draft class will be coming to Charge camp, highlighted by 10th overall selection DíAundray Brown, who also participated in NBA training camp with the Cavaliers.
