Charge Acquire Justin Johnson

The Canton Charge have acquired guard Justin Johnson (6’2”, 175, Concordia-Irvine) from the available player pool and waived guard Robert Hite due to injury, the team announced today.

Johnson, 25, played in 29 games with Springfield this season (nine starts) and averaged 9.6 points on .442 shooting with 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 21.3 minutes per game. After playing collegiately at Concordia-Irvine (2009-11), he has played in 115 career D-League games for three different teams with career averages of 8.8 points on .440 shooting with 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 20.4 minutes per game.

Hite played in 25 games (two starts) with Canton this season and averaged 7.2 points with 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.0 minutes per game. He was placed on the inactive list on February 18.

Game 1 versus Sioux Falls is on Thursday, April 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Civic Center.
