Charge Acquire Draft Pick

The Canton Charge have acquired the Reno Bighorns’ 2014 second round draft choice in exchange for forward Tyrell Biggs, the team announced today. The addition gives Canton the rights to eight 2014 draft picks: six of their original selections (first, second, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth) as well as Reno’s second round choice and the Texas Legends’ third round pick.

“With the overall strength of our roster and amount of depth we have in the frontcourt, we were in a unique position to be able to add future assets for our franchise,” said Cavaliers Director of Development League Operations Mike Gansey. “Tyrell is a good person and player who was instrumental in our team’s successes during our inaugural campaign and the beginning of this season. We wish him nothing but the best going forward.”

Biggs played in three games and averaged 11.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 21.0 minutes for Canton this season.

The Charge are back in action at the Canton Memorial Civic Center on Wednesday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m. against the Tulsa 66ers, with tickets starting as low as $7!
