Ten Jam Players in Summer League Rosters

BAKERSFIELD, July 11, 2012 In addition to the three Jam players (Renaldo Major, Juan Pattillo, and Jeremy Wise) that were selected to be on the NBA D-League Select Team in Las Vegas, seven other Jam players will suit up in a NBA Summer League team for a shot at an NBA training camp roster. A total of 10 players will represent the Bakersfield Jam at the NBA Summer League in Orlando and Las Vegas.

After spending time with the New Orleans Hornets and Bakersfield Jam during the 2011-12 season, Brian Butch will be playing with the Milwaukee Bucks. Derrick Byars, who received a Gatorade Call-Up from the San Antonio Spurs this past April, will play with the Spurs. Mustapha Farrakhan, a 2012 NBA D-League All-Rookie Second Team Selection, will be suiting up for the New York Knicks. Mac Koshwal, a 2011 first round draft pick by the Jam, will play with the New Orleans Hornets.

Chukwudiebere Maduabum will play for the Denver Nuggets and Adrian Thomas will play with the Miami Heat. Stephen Dennis, who played for the Jam during the 2010-2011 season, is currently playing with the Brooklyn Nets in Orlando. Dennis is the only current/former Jam player playing in the Orlando Summer League, all other nine Jam players will be playing in Las Vegas.

The 2012 AirTran Airways Orlando Pro Summer League tipped off July 9th and runs through July 13th. The event features 20 games played over five days in Orlando. The 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas will feature a record 24 teams competing in a 60-game schedule July 13-22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
