BAKERSFIELD, December 11, 2010 ó The Bakersfield Jam came back to defeat the Dakota Wizards 103-94 behind Trey Johnsonís 34 point effort, to win their fifth straight. The game included 19 lead changes and was tied 15 times.
Dakota started the game on an 8-0 run to jump out to an early lead which they maintained for much of the game. The Wizards were leading the Jam by a score of 75-69 entering the fourth period until a DíAndre Bell put-back at the 6 minute mark tied the game at 85. Trey Johnson scored on the next possession to put Bakersfield ahead. The Jam never looked back and went on to outscore Dakota 34-19 in the final quarter to come out on top. Stephen Dennis hit 4 clutch free throws in the final minute to clinch the victory. He finished the night with 17 points off the bench.
Jam center Luke Zeller finished the game with 12 points, all coming from behind the arc. Jeremy Wise added 11 points and dished out 8 assists.
Wizards had 6 players score in double digits, including Renaldo Majorís team-high 24 points. Walter Sharpe finished the game with a double-double of 12 points and 17 rebounds, as did Chris Johnson with 12 points and 10 boards. Guard Darren Cooper added 12 points and 5 assists. Off the bench, Mike Anderson contributed 13 points and 8 rebounds, and Brandon Johnson had 12 points.
