Clippers Re-assign Leslie to Jam

BAKERSFIELD, March 29, 2012 – The Los Angeles Clippers, Bakersfield’s NBA affiliate, have reassigned their rookie guard, Travis Leslie, to the Jam, the team announced today. The assignment marks the 60th time in the 2011-12 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the second assignment for Leslie.

Leslie (6-4, 205, Georgia) was first assigned on March 2, and played in four games with Bakersfield, averaging 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 21.0 minutes per game. Leslie has appeared in 10 games this season with the Clippers, averaging 1.4 points and 0.5 assists in 4.5 minutes.

The Los Angeles Clippers selected Leslie in the second round (47th overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft. In his final year at Georgia, Leslie averaged 14.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 33 games.

Leslie is expected to join the Jam today and be available for the team’s final home game of the regular-season against the Los Angeles D-Fenders tomorrow night.

The current roster now stands at 11 players.
