Bakersfield Acquires Zeller

BAKERSFIELD, November 8, 2010—The Bakersfield Jam has announced the acquisition of Luke Zeller and a future eighth round pick from the Iowa Energy in exchange for future second and third round picks. Zeller was Iowa’s second round draft pick in the 2010 NBA Development League Draft.

Luke Zeller, a High School McDonald's All American in 2005, played for four years at Notre Dame. During his senior season, he averaged 4.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest. After college, Luke participated in the 2009 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, playing for the Chicago Bulls. This past season, Zeller played for the Shiga Lakestars in Japan, where he collected 8.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
