(Bakersfield, Calif., March 10, 2008) – Golden State Warriors officials today announced that they have recalled center Kosta Perovic from the Bakersfield Jam, members of the NBA Development League. The Warriors also announced that Patrick O’Bryant will be assigned to Bakersfield and available for the Jam’s home game against the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Wednesday.
“The bad news is, we just lost a quality big man. The good news is, we just got a quality big man,” said Scott Roth, Bakersfield Jam head coach. “Kosta played great for us these past two games and we are proud to have played a part in his development. We plan on doing the same thing for Patrick.”
Perovic’s second stint with the Jam this season included a 16-point, 18-rebound performance against the Anaheim Arsenal, and an 11-point, 19-rebound effort against the Iowa Energy. For the season, Perovic has appeared in 21 games with Bakersfield, averaging 9.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.57 blocks per game.
O’Bryant, the ninth overall pick in the 2006 draft by the Warriors, joins the Jam after appearing in 25 games for Bakersfield in 2006-07. He averaged 12.0 ppg and ranked second in the D-League with 9.6 rpg and topped the circuit with 2.9 bpg. He has appeared in 22 games for Golden State this season. In just over four minutes per game, the seven-footer was averaging 1.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.
