Austin Toros to Host Military Appreciation Game

Austin, TX March 27, 2012 – The Austin Toros will host their annual Military Appreciation Game on Saturday, March 31 at Cedar Park Center. Complimentary tickets are available for all active, reserve, and retired military personnel when the Toros host the Iowa Energy at noon.

"Military Appreciation Day is one of the most special events we produce each season,” said Peter Lubell, Toros Chief Operating Officer. “It is our honor to salute the soldiers and their families that sacrifice for our country's freedom and I hope that all current soldiers, veterans and their loved ones will come out for this game."

Fans have helped the Toros honor our heroes by donating tickets to “Seats for Soldiers”. More than 1,500 tickets have been donated and reallocated through the Military Welfare and Recreation Department at Ft. Hood.

The first fifty personnel to sign up will take part in a pregame fan tunnel. All military personnel attending in uniform can enter to win a picture with the Capital City Dancers.

Tickets for Military Appreciation are available now and start as low as $5. Call the Toros office at (512)236-8333 for more information on how to support the event.
