Toros to Host Blackout for Semifinals Game on Saturday
Fans Encouraged to Wear Black To Show Team Spirit
Austin, TX April 17, 2012 – The Austin Toros are asking all fans to wear black to create a “blackout” when they host the Canton Charge on Saturday, April 21 at Cedar Park Center for game two of the 2012 NBA D-League Semi-finals presented by BBVA. Tipoff is 7:30pm.
“Our fans have created the best home court advantage in the league all season long and our record reflects their energy and engagement in our games,” said Peter Lubell, Toros Chief Operating Officer. “I hope all of Toros Nation will be in attendance this Saturday night to help the Toros push forward toward a championship.”
The Toros advanced to the semi-finals after defeating the Erie BayHawks on Monday night in game three. The Charge came out on top after the Charge-Springfield Armor round one matchup that also went to three games.
Game one will be played in Canton on Thursday, April 19 at 6:30pm CST. The Toros will host a watch party for the game at Big Daddy’s (9070 Research Blvd.) starting at 6pm. Fans can also catch the game on Futurecast, the free, live web-streaming of all D-League games at nba.com/futurecast.
