Former Toros Participate in 2008 Summer Leagues

Austin, TX (July 11, 2008) Several former Toros have been and will be participating in summer leagues located in Orlando, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Spurs forward/center Ian Mahinmi, who was a key contributor for the Toros last season will participate in the 2008 NBA Summer League presented by EA Sports and the Rocky Mountain Revue presented by Stores OnLine. Toros head coach, Quin Snyder will join the Spurs coaching staff at both events.

Former Toros guard Keith Langford is third leading scorer for the Chicago Bulls with 12 points and two rebounds per game in the Orlando Pro Summer League. He is scheduled to play with the Denver Nuggets in Las Vegas.

Langford is joined on the Bulls roster by forward Brad Buckman who spent the 2006-07 season with the Toros. Buckman is averaging five points and one rebound. Andre Emmett who played during the 2005-06 season is playing for the Indiana Pacers and is currently averaging 14 points and three rebounds in the first four games, while shooting guard BJ Elder (2006-07) is playing with the Orlando Majic and averaging seven points and five rebounds.

Marcus Williams (Los Angeles Clippers) and Loren Woods (Houston Rockets) are scheduled to play in the 2008 NBA Summer League presented by EA Sports.

This is the second year the San Antonio Spurs will participate in the NBA Summer League presented by EA Sports and the sixth straight year in the Rocky Mountain Revue.

Orlando kicked off their summer league on July 7th and runs through July 11th. Las Vegas begins July 11th through July 20th. The Rocky Mountain Revue runs July 18th through July 25th.
